Supervisors to Bid Farewell to Long-Time Member; Welcome New Supervisor; Select New President

The Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting on Monday, January 7, at 6 p.m. for a ceremony welcoming Warren Slocum as the new District 4 Supervisor.

He will be sworn into office by Alicia Aguirre, the Mayor of Redwood City. The meeting will be at the Fair Oaks Community Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City.

On Tuesday, January 8, at 9 a.m. the Board will bid farewell to Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson at its regularly scheduled meeting in the Board Chambers at the Hall of Justice, 400 County Center, Redwood City. Supervisor Jacobs Gibson has represented District 4 since 1999 but was barred by term limits from running again.

The Board will then adjourn until 6 p.m. Tuesday for its annual reorganization with the selection of a new President and Vice President. That meeting will be held at the Terra Nova Theater, Terra Nova High School, 1450 Terra Nova Blvd., Pacifica.
