The Parks Commission is seeking feedback on the new Parks Strategic Draft Plan. This plan builds upon the existing efforts of County Parks and our partners to provide a 5-year road map to accommodate the future needs of the Parks and their visitors. The goals and strategies identified in the Plan provide a solid framework to achieve our mission of preserving the County’s natural and cultural treasures, and providing safe, accessible parks, recreation and learning opportunities to enhance the community’s quality of life.
The Commission will hold a special meeting on Thursday, March 7 at 2:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers with subcommittee members Board of Supervisors President Don Horsley and Supervisor Dave Pine attending to receive comment on the draft Plan.
The Board Chambers are located on the first floor of the San Mateo County Hall of Justice, 400 County Center, Redwood City. Map of County Center.
Comments may also be submitted to ParksCommission@smcgov.org or in writing to James C. Porter, Director of Public Works and Parks, 555 County Center, 5th Floor, Redwood City, CA 94063. Read and review the draft plan.
