San Mateo Court Appoints New Commissioner

SAN MATEO SUPERIOR COURT APPOINTS STEPHANIE GARRATT COMMISSIONER

Presiding Judge Robert D Foiles announced today that the San Mateo Superior Court has appointed Deputy District Attorney Stephanie Garratt to fill the court commissioner position vacated by Kathleen M. McKenna when she retired last month. Garratt previously served as a Superior Court Commissioner for nine years.

According to Foiles, Commissioner Garratt will take over the assignments previously handled by Commissioner McKenna that include family law, unlawful detainers, civil small claims, and traffic. Commissioner Garratt will begin her duties on April 28th.

“We are delighted that Stephanie Garratt has agreed to return to our court,” Foiles announced. “Stephanie has demonstrated herself to be a phenomenal judicial officer and we are thankful to have someone with her abilities working with us again.”
